About Rapid Adapt

Rapid Adapt started as a simple idea back in 2020—a “there has to be a better way” moment. We officially became an LLC in June 2025, and we assemble and ship everything from right here in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Here’s the heart of it: I believe good design should actually solve problems for real people. Not just the average person, but anyone who needs help doing everyday things, like driving safely and confidently. Nobody should feel limited by their height, grip strength, or physical ability, and definitely not by a lack of smart, well-built products.

So that’s what we do. We build adaptive gear, starting with our pedal extensions. Simple, safe, thoughtful engineering, and quality materials that you can trust. If I wouldn’t use it myself or recommend it to someone I care about, it doesn’t ship. Period.

About the Owner

Hey, I’m Dave Kendall.

Born and raised in Ohio, now living in Cincinnati, I come from a long line of builders, makers, and fixers—it’s just in my DNA to solve problems when I see them.

As a little person who’s traveled a lot and grown into adulthood, one issue has followed me everywhere: borrowing, renting, or even buying a car is way harder than it should be. For years I’ve dreamed of pedal extensions that just work. No duct tape. No drama. Just simple, safe, solid design.

Thanks to 3D printing, rapid prototyping, and some modern manufacturing magic, I’ve finally built a product that I believe can change how little people all over the world get around.

This isn’t just about convenience. It’s about creating a more accessible, more equitable world—for people like me, and especially for my daughter, Eleanor, who’ll be driving in just a few years. I’m building this for her future. And for anyone else who’s tired of sitting on the sidelines.

It’s gonna get better, Eleanor. I promise.
