So It Begins

For most of my life, driving has come with a caveat: I need pedal extensions. And while they technically exist, the options out there are clunky, hard to install, and frankly, a little embarrassing. If you’ve ever had to use them, you probably know the feeling — digging around for tools in a parking lot, awkwardly explaining it to a rental car agent, or just giving up and not driving at all.
I got tired of that.
So, five years ago, I decided to build something better. I didn’t come from an automotive engineering background. I came from lived experience, a little stubbornness, and a whole lot of late-night prototyping. I taught myself CAD. I worked with manufacturers. I broke things and rebuilt them. And what started as a sketch on blank sheet of paper is now Rapid Adapt — a tool-free, safe, sleek pedal extension system designed specifically for short-statured drivers.
This isn't a startup chasing unicorn status. It’s not about flashy tech or going viral. This is about real people who want to live more independently — to test drive a car, borrow a friend’s SUV, or rent something on vacation without jumping through hoops.
We’re close to launch. We’ve tested the design, validated the fit across dozens of vehicles, and we’re gearing up for production.
