Known Compatibility Exceptions & Limitations

(Best-known information as of Feb 2026)

We wish we could say Rapid Adapt Pedal Extensions work flawlessly with every vehicle ever made—but like most things in life, there are tradeoffs.

Based on current testing and market data, Rapid Adapt fits approximately 96% of U.S. vehicles with no modifications required. The items below represent the remaining edge cases based on best-known information, ongoing testing, and customer feedback. This list will continue to evolve as new vehicles are tested.

For many of these exceptions, free adapters or revised components are already in development.

Known Incompatibilities or Special Cases

• Alfa Romeo
Likely incompatible with most models due to non-standard pedal shapes. Investigation ongoing.

• Audi (manual transmission models)
Some manual-shift brake and clutch pedals may require an adapter due to bent or irregular steel stamped pedal.

• Fiat
Currently incompatible due to pedal geometry. No known timeline on a fix.

• Volkswagen (manual transmission models)
Manual-shift Jetta, Golf, and TDI models are unconfirmed and likely incompatible at this time due to pedal design.
Free adapter planned for a future release.

• Dodge Ram
Gas pedal requires an adapter.
Adapter is in development and will be available upon request (free of charge).

• Toyota RAV4 (2020+)
Known gas-pedal thickness and geometry issue.
Revised solution in development — expected by end of Q1 2026.

• Honda Civic (2019+)
Known gas-pedal thickness and geometry issue.
Revised solution in development — expected by end of Q1 2026.

Why These Issues Exist

Most compatibility challenges stem from:

• Bent or stamped steel pedal arms
• Non-standard pedal thickness
• Unusual pedal face geometry, especially on manual transmissions

These designs fall outside the norms used by the majority of manufacturers.

What We’re Doing About It

• Actively testing and prototyping free adapters.
• Expanding hands-on vehicle testing.
• Updating this list as new data becomes available.

If your vehicle falls into one of these categories or if you’re unsure reach out before ordering. We’re happy to verify fitment or loop you into an upcoming fix.
